“There are shapes that stay in the palm of your hand longer than a touch.”

I don’t know exactly when Cherish began. Perhaps it was the moment I first closed my hand around an onyx icicle - cold and smooth like a stone carried in a pocket all summer long. Or maybe it was when I watched a thin line of light fracture against the gray of an agate.

This wasn’t just another project, nor an attempt to continue what came before. It was a turn toward an ambiguous depth: a tender, unhurried contemplation of what is permanent. This collection is more than a series of objects. It is an act of nurturing. Of the everyday. Of closeness. Of the things that remain quiet.

I dedicate it to Jurek, my son. But also to a world where tenderness is slipping away.
